"Connected in Christ"

 

Themes: 

Lent, Stations of the Cross, Dr. Seuss, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Spring

 

Religion:

Kindergarten will learn about Lent, Stations of the Cross and why we celebrate Easter.

 

English Language Arts:

This month we will be reading various Dr. Seuss books and participate in follow up activities. In addition we will join in read alouds relating to our celebration of Lent, Stations of the Cross and Easter, as well as St. Patrick's Day.

 

 

Skills Strand:

Students will continue building their sight word knowledge, join in reading groups, focus on word families and rhyming words. In addition we will also work on writing skills focusing on the use of space and the appropriateness of upper case letters.

 

Math:

Kindergarten will be focusing on Module 4-Composing and decomposing numbers, addition and subtraction within 10.

 

Science:

Weather, seasons, physical environment

 

Social Studies:

weather, seasons, mountains, oceans
