Jillian Silvanic, a .400 hitter each of the last two seasons, will join the softball program at St. Peter’s. She has played varsity softball since seventh grade, and is also a three-season basketball starter. Jillian graduated from St. Patrick School in 2007 and has been an Aide in our SPECK Program for several years.
Way to go Jill........we are so proud of you!

Honoring Those Who Served
"The fifth grade students of St. Patrick School placed flags on graves at St. Patrick Cemetery as part of their Memorial Day service.
According to St. Patrick School Principal Paula Smith, there are hundreds of flags to be placed in cemeteries each year, and this is just the school’s small way of helping out while showing honor and respect for those that gave so much for our freedom." Read more




New Playground is Awesome!
"On Saturday, July 13, members of the school’s Father’s Club and some moms began dismantling the existing playground structures. Gone are the center wooden structure, the newer playhouse structure, and the monkey bars. At the end of the day the only piece left standing was the swing set, which is allowed to remain and was purchased by Father’s Club a few years ago." Read more
Donations to Local Food Bank
"St. Patrick School in Owego recently presented a check for $1,100.00 to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. The check was a donation from the school’s annual “Splendors Auction” fundraiser. Each year, as a way to give back to the community, the school donates a portion of its auction proceeds to a deserving organization. Adopt-A-Family
"The students from St. Patrick School are gathered in front of the classroom Christmas tree with a raffle basket containing donated items for their Adopt-A-Family Program. Each year St. Patrick’s School adopts a family in need, donates items and creates a basket to be raffled off. The donated items are from the school’s families. Students can then purchase tickets for a chance to win a basket. The money collected from the raffle goes towards Christmas gifts for their adopted family. This year the kindergarten collected and created a snack basket to be raffled." Read more
We are pleased to announce that St. Pat's Class of 2006 Alumna, Lauren Dewey-Wright, who has been named the Valedictorian of the Owego Free Academy Class of 2013. Lauren will be attending SUNY Fredonia in the Fall of 2013 as a Music Education major with a focus in vocal performance, and dreams of becoming a collegiate-level conductor of both vocal and instrumental groups.
