Themes for this month include: Rain and rainbows, Easter, the Book Stone 

 

 

Soup, pond animals, fish, dinosaurs, and Earth Day. This month's color is 

 

 

the color blue. We will learn the letters R, S, T, and U and will meet our

 

 

puppet friends the rabbit, seal, tiger and unicorn. This month's shape is an 

 

 

oval. We will also be learning the days of the week and introducing the idea

 

 

of syllables.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Preschool Daily Schedule

9:00-9:10

Fine motor activities at the table as all our friends arrive.

 

9:10-9:30

Gathering time on the rug, with prayer, calendar, weather, song, introduction to our alphabet puppet and mini lesson on the day's theme.

 

9:30-10:15

Free Play.

Choice of sensory table, science center, painting center, library/listening center, writing center, blocks area, kitchen area, dolls and many other toys. During this time the classroom aide will do an art activity with a child or small group of children while the teacher does another activity such as a math or literacy activity, or a game with an individual child or small group of children.

Snack and Bathrooming

Each child takes turns bringing in a healthy snack. They may bring in a show and tell item on their snack day.

 

10:40-11:00

Show and tell, story, class activity or finger plays.

 

On Tuesdays, we go to library to hear a story from 10:45-11:00.

 

11:00-11:30

Weather permitting, outside play or indoor movement games/songs.
